Victorian retailers are being urged to submit their views to State Government on the proposed plastic bag ban in Victoria.
A number of states have already introduced similar bans (most recently Queensland) and the NRA strongly urges all Victorian retailers to have a say to ensure that retailers views are heard loud and clear.
Should a ban come into effect, it’s vital that an extensive consultation period has taken place in order to provide minimal disruption to retail businesses.
You can read the Discussion Paper and have your say on the matter at the Engage Victoria website: https://engage.vic.gov.au/waste/plastic-pollution.
